Eligibility for Lung Cancer Screening (LCS)
Age 50 - 80 years
and Currently smoking or Quit smoking within the past 15 years,
AND 20 pack-year or greatER smoking history,
- For eg. smoking 1 pack of cigarettes a day (PPD) x 20 years is a 20 pack-year history (PYH) of smoking.
- Similarly 0.5 PPD x 50 years = 25 PYH.
- 1 PPD x 15 years = 15 PYH.
And so on.
